Afternoon at John's Pass

Food Fight
John's Pass is always full of people. It must be a stop in every guidebook: I heard several languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin ...) and the boardwalk was crowded with people from all over the country. Bob couldn't wait to get down to the end, where he had so much enjoyed the fish processing operation last year.

He wasn't disappointed. The guys even talked a little this year, so we found out that most of the fish were grouper, with a few snapper mixed in to what seemed like a good catch.

The pelicans, herons and egrets were taking advantage of free food too, as were dolphin swimming close to the dock.

We had our traditional (shared fish & chips) at Bubba Gump's. The food is OK, but the people watching and view of the gulf are great.

Florida Pics.
